The negative momentum in the US/Global equity and bond market has certainly been something we have been monitoring very closely as situations both domestically and internationally continue to develop. We have been considering many different pieces of information to distribute for clients to review and gain perspective and then LPL put out a piece that we feel is very relevant to many of the conversations we have been having relating to the pessimism amongst investors being a very large contributing factor to the negative market performance thus far in 2022.

The attached piece written by LPL’s research team (our custodian) does a really good job specifically quantifying the level of negative sentiment priced into the markets today and provides perspective/context by comparing today’s sentiment to previous noteworthy periods of time which is why we felt the piece was worth your time reviewing.
